Time Controlled Adaptive Ventilation (TCAV)

This course will review the current understanding of ventilator induced lung injury (VILI) mechanisms and how duration of time of the applied breath is a key component of a protective mechanical breath profile. The mechanisms of lung protection using the Time Controlled Adaptive Ventilation (TCAV) Method in the airway pressure release ventilation (APRV) mode will be reviewed from a scientific and clinical perspective.
